Yes, we have the all-new Kia Stinger!
Come see what the buzz is about.

Everyone likes something “new”.  Well, here’s something at Barnett that definitely IS new:  An All-Wheel Drive Sedan!

Ushering in an exciting, dynamic era for Kia Motors, the all-new 2018 Stinger is the culmination of a years-long journey. Fueled by the company’s bold and adventurous spirit, the Stinger is a sportback sedan that promises to be the highest-performance production vehicle in Kia history.  That said, the 2018 Kia Stinger is at a reasonable price, available to see and drive here at Barnett, with outstanding leases available, as low as $299 a month.

“Unlike any Kia that has come before it, the Stinger really is a dream car for us,” said Orth Hedrick, Kia Motors America vice president of product planning. “No detail was too small to be obsessed over, and the result is simply stunning.”

But, what makes a true gran turismo?  The design is bold, nimble, and fast. All while being luxurious and quiet. It is a perfect balance of ride and handling yet can seat five people comfortably with room for luggage.

The Stinger comes in both Rear Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive options.  It also comes with two engine options.  The 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 255hp at 6,200 rpm with 260 lb.-ft. of maximum torque available from 1,400 – 4,000 rpm, propelling the Stinger from 0-60 mph in just 5.9 seconds. Performance credentials are further enhanced through the available 3.3L twin-turbo V6 engine. Which produces 365hp at 6,000 rpm and offers 376 lb.-ft. of torque from 1,300 – 4,500 rpm. This is more power than the Audi S5 Sportback, BMW 440i Gran Coupe, and Infiniti Q50. Pushing the twin turbocharged V6 to its full potential will allow the Stinger GT to achieve a governed top speed of 167 mph.

The Stinger features an 8-speed rear-drive automatic transmission. The gearbox rewards drivers with crisp shifts and maximized fuel efficiency. Drivers can let the Stinger manage shifts on its own or may run through the gears via paddle shifters. As with the suspension and steering, up to five different shift patterns may be selected through the vehicle’s electronic drive-mode system.

Stinger also offers advanced safety systems that seamlessly work together to enhance the driving experience:

In the United States, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration conservatively, estimates that 100,000 police-reported crashes are the direct result of driver fatigue each year. This results in an estimated 1,550 deaths and 71,000 injuries annually. A first for Kia is the new Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system to helps combat distracted or drowsy driving. The system monitors several inputs from the vehicle and the driver. If the Kia senses that the attention of the driver as significantly reduce, the vehicle will sound off a warning chime and display a graphic in the instrument panel.

Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA) with pedestrian detection can detect a potential collision with another vehicle or pedestrian and help bring the car to a halt. Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC w/ S&G) maintains a pre-set distance between the Stinger and the vehicle in front and can bring the car to a full stop in congested traffic. Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) actively monitors the vehicle’s intended lane and will alert the driver with an audible warning. Along with providing steering input to help maintain the vehicle’s position. Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW) includes Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) which scans the area behind the vehicle when backing from a parking space and will alert the driver with an audible warning if cross traffic is detected.

Connectivity, entertainment and vehicle information can be as important as a dynamic driving experience and the Stinger comes to market with the latest infotainment systems. The available Head-Up Display (HUD) display enables the driver to see key driving information reflected on the windshield glass, including speed, turn-by-turn navigation, audio and cruise control settings and Blind Spot Detection information. The center console has wireless smartphone charging and Bluetooth® hands-free operation is standard.

Long-distance travel is a hallmark of the Gran Turismo ownership experience. There is a trio of high-performance audio systems designed to turn the interior into a dynamic concert hall as the miles blur by. The standard audio system features six speakers and a seven-inch haptic touchscreen with the latest version of UVO, Kia’s award-winning telematics systems. The GT package, ups the speaker count to nine and includes an external amplifier. The available Harman/Kardon® audio system pumps out 720 watts and has 15 speakers including Kia’s first under-seat mounted subwoofers tucked beneath the driver and passenger seats. The system also comes equipped with QuantumLogic™ Surround Sound technology. This redistributes rich and clear playback into an authentic multidimensional soundstage
