Kia is typically a four wheeled car manufacturer. At least, that's what you see when you walk into the Barnett Kia dealership to buy a new Kia. Did you you know that Kia wasn't always producing cars and that they started out in the line of two wheels? Actually, that is exactly how the Kia brand started.
In 1944, started its venture producing the steel tubing and other such components that you can find in bicycles. Over time, Kia expanded the business by building complete banana-boat-seaters before moving on to manufacture cars, which we see at our dealership.
Kia has made a decision to go back to its roots and produce another new two wheeled form of transportation again. This is where we introduce the K Velo line. Peter Schreyer, Head of Design for Kia, sculpted the bicycle which is a tribute to the Kia brand from the past and present.
This "tiger nosed" profile show some resemblance to the automotive vehicles at Barnett Kia. Also, the new bike uses the same lightweight, aluminum materials.
