March is right around the corner and as winter slowly makes its exit, the Twin Cities Auto Show is here to welcome Minnesotans into spring with open arms and open convertible tops.
The 41st annual celebration of all things automobile kicks off Saturday, March 8th at the Minneapolis Convention Center and lasts through Sunday, March 16th. Adult tickets are just $8 online before the show and $10 at the door. Teen tickets are $5, while children 10 and under get in for free. So, bring the family.
With over 400,000 square feet of exhibit space featuring 37 different exhibits and over 450 domestic and imported vehicles, every motorhead will find something to love.
Along with 33 other manufacturers at the show like Audi, Porsche, Maserati and Bentley, Kia will bring its best to the convention. Kia plans to feature the 2014 Cadenza with its 3.3 Liter V6 gasoline direct injection engine, providing an impressive 293 horsepower that's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Cadenza's spacious interior has been coupled with some exciting features - from a heated steering wheel to the available Nappa leather seat trim. Engineering innovations that help reduce noise and vibration are also a key addition. The Cadenza arrives packed with an enviable list of available technology, including Voice Command Navigation, Keyless Entry, and a Back-Up Warning System. It is definitely a sight to be seen.
Chrysler, too, will bring one of its big boys to the party in the 2014 300C. Standard on every trim level, the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and an eight-speed automatic transmission delivers a whopping 292 horsepower.
The 300C stores preferred settings for up to two drivers. The Chrysler 300C memory settings include: seat position, exterior mirror positions, steering wheel position, radio station presets and pedal positions.
While seeing all of the vehicles is a spectacle in itself, there will be many other forms of entertainment and excitement for people of all ages. Meet National Hockey League stars Ryan Suter, Keith Ballard and Matt Cooke from the Minnesota Wild, and Disney Channel Star Laura Marano and enjoy the "Food & Fun" area, featuring the Twin Cities' top food trucks.
There's something for everyone at the Twin Cities Auto Show. Come see it.
Spring really wants to say hello.
