Car & Driver thinks the 2015 Sedona brings new adjectives to the minivan discussion (and we quote): "Snazzy, sporty, and striking aren't words you associate with minivans - but the ambitious folks at Kia have managed to bake a little of each into the new Sedona.
"With room for eight, storage for family necessities, and a long list of standard and optional safety features, the Sedona is now a compelling choice for value-minded shoppers."

TheCarConnection.com observes, "The Sedona returns for the 2015 model year with a better body structure, an upgraded powertrain, more safety and infotainment features, and a revamped seating system with more flexibility."
The New York Daily News was especially excited, telling everyone that "(The) 2015 Kia Sedona goes from zero to hero with (its) redesign. Sophisticated and as useful as a Swiss Army Knife, the new Kia Sedona is the ultimate family hauler. That's one reason Kia is calling the redesigned 2015 Sedona a Multi-Purpose Vehicle, or MPV. The Sedona even has 6.7 inches of ground clearance - that's within an inch of a Ford Explorer! Throw some winter tires on a Sedona, and you probably don't need to worry about Old Man Winter unless the snow is more than half a foot deep.
"In case you haven't noticed, modern Kias are really good looking, and that includes the new Sedona. This people mover's got genuine style, inside and out. At a glance, it is easy to see the Sedona is more stylish than other minivans.'
Features? Powered by a 3.3-liter V-6, the 2015 Sedona also offers it share of "bells and whistles," including a smart tailgate that opens the hatch when the key fob is detected in close proximity for three seconds, and a dual-compartment glove compartment that features a lower cooled area. The next generation UVO infotainment system includes app capability from iTunes and Google Play (including compatibility with Pandora, iHeartRadio, and Yelp) plus SiriusXM Travel Link information on traffic, weather, fuel prices and more. It also uses new Siri Eyes Free connectivity and Google Local Search systems to help find (and navigate to points of interest.) The Sedona gets Kia's first high-power USB charging port, and there's a 115-volt AC outlet on some trims, too - a combo that all but obviates the need for a factory-installed rear-seat entertainment system.

"It is masterful at carrying people. The individual second-row seats can be moved laterally inboard of the sliding doors, which puts children closer to the center of the vehicle, the safest location if you get into an accident. Additionally, the Sedona SXL's second-row seat can slide rearward to create a massive amount of legroom, and they fully recline for comfort under this model’s dual panel sunroof. Better yet, they even offer an ottoman-style leg rest.
