Totally transformed 2015 Kia Soul an IIHS Top Safety Pick

THIS JUST IN (as of 9/21/14): The structural improvements Kia's engineering team made to the Soul may be subtle to the buyer, but they really paid off.

The 2015 Kia Soul is a 2014 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick.

As if the Soul didn't already have enough going for it.

Kia packed almost everything in the 2015 Soul. The transformation makes it more fun to drive, offers more advanced technology and provides more surprises.

It's sleeker and more sophisticated. You could say it’s the Soul you know ... and it's NOT the Soul you know. It's evidence that good things can happen when you're not afraid to mess with the formula a little. Simply put: it looks great

From the inside out? Well, let's just say that maybe your living room has some competition. The interior of the 2015 Soul is plusher, quieter and totally tailored for comfort. That is NEVER a bad thing.

Also, it's kind of a mobile gadget lab. From a bigger, clearer 4.3" thin film transistor (TFT) LCD display to Pandora® radio, all the way to an available Rear-Camera Display, the 2015 Soul is loaded with advanced car technology. Translation: Practical and FUN.

And, of course, it's easy on your budget. The gas-powered Soul still gets over 30 MPG highway.

Let's backtrack, just for a moment, to give you some "tech-y stuff" about the IIHS Top Safety Award (and explain how the 2015 Soul absolutely aced the crash tests). The Soul received a rating of "Good" in the categories of Small Overlap Front, Moderate Overlap Front, Side Impact, Roof Strength, as well as head Restraints and Seats. As far as roof strength, in order for a vehicle to receive a rating of "Good" it must be able to withstand a downward force on the roof of at least four times the weight of the vehicle before crushing the roof down five inches. The Kia Soul is able to experience pressures of 5.27 times its weight before the roof is crushed five inches, giving the vehicle a highly respected rating of "Good" in the Roof Strength Test. The Soul has a curb weight of 2,905 pounds and the roof strength was rated at a peak force of 15,304 pounds.

In other words, it's a strong and safe little bugger. No wonder hamsters love it (that reference only works if you've seen the Soul TV commercials). It's a good bet you'll like it, too. So come check out the 2015 Kia Soul for yourself right here on Highway 61 in White Bear Lake.

And don't forget Barnett's exclusive MILLION MILE Warranty on any new vehicle purchased. Ask your sales associate for all the details.

Finally (and this is SO important) right now at Barnett Kia you can lease a new Soul at incredibly low payments. All that said ... what are you waiting for?
