Kia brand #1 in Initial Quality by J.D. Power, 2019 Forte among four Kia class winners

There certainly is a lot of good stuff here at Barnett Kia. That’s not just us talking, it’s the public and the industry.

For the fifth consecutive year, Kia has been named the number one non-luxury automotive brand by J.D. Power in the 2019 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), with a two-point improvement over last year’s results.  Kia’s continued success in IQS was led by having four models—Rio, Forte, Sportage, and Soul—included among the top 10 vehicles in the industry, the most of any brand.

In addition, Kia had segment-topping performances from Rio (Small Car), Forte (Compact Car), Sportage (Small SUV), and Sedona (Minivan).

The annual report analyzed responses from 76,256 respondents with regards to 257 vehicle models across 26 segments.  Vehicles were evaluated on driving experience, engine and transmission performance and a broad range of quality issues reported by vehicle owners.

“Being ranked at the top of J.D. Power’s U.S. Initial Quality Study among all mass market brands once is a tremendous honor, but capturing this leadership position for five consecutive years unequivocally affirms Kia’s commitment to quality and the ownership experience,” said Michael Cole, chief operating officer and EVP, Kia Motors America. “With four segment winners, and three additional models ranking among the top three in their respective segments, Kia’s ‘Give It Everything’ brand philosophy has clearly yielded a world-class model lineup.”

Right now at Barnett, you can lease one of those category leaders—a 2019 Kia Forte LXS—for only $199 a month for 36 months!

The all-new 2019 Kia Forte sedan enters its third generation with a more sophisticated design and desirable features, transforming one of Kia Motors America’s best-selling vehicles into something more than simply a commuter car. Thanks to a number of improvements, Forte now offers drivers a higher level of comfort and Kia Drive Wise technologies that are aimed to make the journey—whether a short commute or long haul—a more rewarding and decidedly upscale experience. Sporting an overall bolder appearance, the newly designed compact sedan also boasts improved EPA-estimated combined MPG ratings.

The 2019 Forte is an exceptional compact car, as the J.D. Power award indicates. It also was a finalist for U.S. News and World Report’s 2019 Best Compact Car for the Money award, owing to its combination of quality and value. It boasts a modern, easy-to-use infotainment system and a long list of standard features. Its interior quality and trunk space are among the best in the class, and the front seats offer day-long comfort.

Beyond initial quality, Forte also is one of the best values in its class. The base price is less than most rivals, and Forte offers impressive standard amenities. You’ll find infotainment technology such as a touch-screen system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, as well as active safety features like Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Driver Attention Monitoring. You would spend thousands of dollars more to equip, say, a Honda Civic or Hyundai Elantra with those features.

At Barnett, there are plenty of summer offers in addition to the Forte at $199 a month. You’ll find them all right here.

And remember, every new vehicle purchased comes with Barnett’s exclusive—and FREE—MILLION MILE Warranty. Ask your sales associate for all the details on that, too. Come see us soon at Barnett Kia on Highway 61 in White Bear Lake!
